Internationally recognized Botanical Garden.
Preserving an exceptional example of American garden design in a water-conserving Landscape. The Ruth BAncroft Garden is an exceptional demonstration of the art of garden design. Working primarily with the dramatic forms of her beloved succulents, Mrs. Bancroft has created bold and varied compostions in which the colors, textures and patterns of foliage provide a setting for the sparkle of floral color. The three-acre garden was begun in 1972 and includes aloes, agaves, yuccas, cacti, echeverias, and many other succulents blended with an array of drought-tolerant trees and shrubs.
