TOPS provides an environment rich in opportunity for learning through play, designed to meet the individual needs of your child. Our qualified staff provides the curriculum necessary to meet these goals, and along with the participation of the parents, supports your child to develop emotionally, socially, physically and intellectually.
TOPS is a parent participation preschool and transitional kindergarten open to children of all races, creeds, and nationalities. We are licensed by the Department of Social Services and maintained by The Orinda Preschool Inc, to provide an environment especially adapted to the needs of preschoolers. Our experienced and well-educated teachers supervise the program. In additional to the professional staff, several parents are scheduled to assist each day.
Children participate in experiences in art, math, dramatic play, music, science, language arts, outdoor play and cooking. Activities are presented in accordance with the developmental level of the children. All of these goals and objectives are implemented by the use of play as our tool for learning and growing. Each area of specific curriculum reflects this basic philosophy.
